Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah Winfrey is a talk show host who has inspired many.

"She has not only made it to the top with the cards stacked against her, but she has also made extraordinary contributions to our global community through her philanthropic efforts."  - a quote from time top 100 about oprah.

Time says if Women ruled the next 100 years, we would all be better off.

I think Oprah is a very influential person. I watch her show everyday and she has brought awareness to many things I have never thought about. She has helped so many people throughout her career, and she is my idol.
I think she is the most generous person, and I know watching her show just makes me want to do good deeds for others.

Oprah Winfrey, 100 most influential 6 times.

Jennifer Egan, an influential author.

Jennifer Egan, 48, is a famous author who just so happened to be the top influential people of the year in TIMES magazine. During her career she has wrote amazing books such  as The Invisable Circus and The Keep. For the past fifteen years she has used to journalism to bring up the ideas such as homeless people and gay teenagers. Times said she is very inspirational and I agree.

Using her writing skills to bring up awareness for such issues is a good idea, and I think she is a very inspirational/influental person.

Stereo-typical behavior

I believe stereo-typing is a big issue in this world. We all do it, even if you say you are not racist or sexist or etc. Think about it, have you ever made a remark about person because of their looks/style,race,religion,situation? I know I have. The reason I think it is such a big deal is sometimes it affects others with a huge impact. Like forsay "Scene kids" as of what everyone seems to think I am. They have the colorful hair, piercings, crazy outfits and makeup, certain taste of music, and sometimes tattoos (well this is what people say a typical scene kid has). This is just how some people like to dress, but it is super hard to find a good paying job when you have colorful hair or metal sticking out of your face, which is unfair in my opinion since they are just expressing themselves.  Another issue is illegal immigrants or "mexicans" People seem to think all mexicans that don't know english are illegal immigrants and they are job-stealing, bad people. I know there is a law somewhere in America where all mexicans can be pulled over to be checked for those papers that say you are a legal citizen.
Is it part of human nature, or are we just ignorant assholes?

PRO CHOICE!

The very opinionated topic, is abortion okay?
Well my opinion is it is, but I understand why people think it is not.
People make their opinions before thinking about the, what ifs, or the other persons point of view. To people who say pro-life, what if a teenager is raped and gets pregnant? We all know few to no teenagers are able to take care of a child when they arent even taking care of themselves fully, and do you dare to have a child with a rapist as his father? What if you get pregnant on accident, and you KNOW you are not financially stable enough to bring another baby into this world? Shall you have this baby and let it live it's life as an orphan, a life of poverty? Yeah of course you shouldnt be unprotected if you don't want a child, but accidents do happen.
Now you have to think of the pro-lifes view, how is killing a child in a womb any different than murder? Just because the baby dosn't function on its own, dosnt mean it shouldnt have any less choice of life than  us. If that baby has a heartbeat, that is killing. How can you know that, that child wasnt going to be the next Ghandi? The next person to change our world for the better? You don't, but life is a game of chance, and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
This is a topic that honestly I think no one will ever agree on, and It has so many sides of it.

What is success?

I am currently watching Oprah as I write this blog. Todays topic is about, two certain questions. Has our world gone mad? What is the definition of success? As I listened to their words, I began to think of my thought about the situation. People these days seem to define success as, materials. Money, mansions, nice cars, you have a job that gives you a status, that is success. But think about it... is your passion truely to become a rich lawyer? Well of course some people's dream do involve materials and such, but I feel that no one really appreciates sentimental things, and don't know what is enough. Look at nature. The trees, the plants, they only take the nutrients they need to live, and lions, they only kill one deer, and that is enough they need to live.
Let me make an image for you. There is two children,  both love to draw. They both want to become artists when they grow older, for that is their passion. It is now highschool, one boy still strives to become an aritst, while the other still has the passion to do art, but let his parents decide his future career. Now they are adults, ones an artist and the other is a rich buisness man. The artist may not be rich, but you bet he is much happier for doing what he loves instead of doing what will make him rich.
I one day will go to africa and live my life helping orphans, and it might not be a successful life to others, it will be to me for that is what makes me happy.

““When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”” John Lennon

Procrastinators Unite! [:

Well, I was not sure on what to do my first personal blog about, so I decided to write it on something I am just super amazing at! Procrastinating!
First off, I will say that this is the biggest issue with kids and homework. Being a child with horrid ADHD, my mind can go anywhere but on the thing I need to actually focus on. This is usually the ONLY reason I don't get my homework done. Actually, this blog post is late because I PROCRASTINATED! Woooo!
StumbleUpon: This website is every procrasinators favorite website. You check all the topics you are interested in, click stumble, and wa-la! You are getting hundreds of websites that really interest you. Therefore, its the best place to go when you are working on something that you'd love to get away from.
Cracked: Another website I tend to go to when I am trying to procrastinate.  It has all these weird articles like "10 things you never knew you were doing wrong" It is really fun to read!
There are many more things you can do to help you procrastinate on the web, just google it!
P.s. This probably is a suckish blog, I just am used to writing blogs on news articles.
